Hello dear friends.
Here is a video done by our students.
Our lyceum has many traditions and celebrations, such as Martisor, Women's Day, The Self-teaching Day, Autumn Bouquet, Harvest, etc., but we would like to tell you about one special tradition we practise every year. We would like to tell you about Cleaning Day.
There are many different places in our town. Some of them are quite ordinary to every small town. We have a green town with many parks and refreshment places. Our students wrote some essays about our town, its monuments and its streets. Enjoy reading and learning about our culture and town image.
My Street (by Xenia N.) My street at the moment is called Dimitrie Cantemir. Before, it was called Mayakovsky street. It was called in honor of a Russian and Soviet poet Vladimir Mayakovsky. Now it is named in honor of a Moldovan and Russian states man and scholar D. Kantemir. The name it received in approximately 1995 . In Soviet times the streets had Russian names, for example : Kotovsky, V. I. Lenin, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Peace, Zhdanov etc . Now they were renamed with Moldavian writers or famous personalities: Ion Creanga , Mihai Eminescu , Elena Sirbu , independence etc. My Street (by Tatiana R.) My street was called Kotovsky Street five years ago. Now it is called the 31 August. I asked all my neighbours why the street is named such a way, but no one could answer. I think that the street was named The 31st of August because of the day of the Moldovan language. My Town (by Anatolii E.) The town Donduseni is not big, but is very beautiful. I know many interestings places in my city, but my favorite is the central park. There are many benches for people. The trees in this park are tall and beautiful. Especially I like walking in the park in the evenings, when it is silent all around. I live on the street D. Cantemir. This street is named in honor of the great politician and scientist Dmitry Cantemir. He was born in Moldova and studied in Turkey. He wrote a map of Moldova. Together with Russian Empire, he fought against Turkey for the independence of Moldova.
